She was Influenced early on by such writers as Mary Renault and D H Lawrence, not to mention David Bowie and Queen. In her writing she likes to examine the difficulties experienced by people who cannot fit into society's rules.

Alex Hogan lives in a small town, just outside Melbourne, Australia, with her librarian husband, teenage daughter, and eleven-year-old autistic son. She has been writing for several years, and has had stories several online zines, including Bent Magazine, and Litbits.
