J W Smith

I am a Gringo, a War Baby, raised in a Mormon village in Chihuahua, Mexico; I left when I was 12. Between a couple of loving aunts and my maternal grandparents, I was nurtured until I graduated high school in Truth or Consequences, NM. After four years in the Air Force in Myrtle Beach, SC, living on the beach, I returned to New Mexico to complete two years of college at UNM Albuquerque. Met a fascinating man and moved to L.A. with him, where four years later I met my life partner; 36 years later, we’re still together. Started writing the day after the twin towers fell and haven’t watched TV since.

Dumb as Rocks
